Training & Education
Dr. Sarhaddi attended The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She graduated with honors in psychology before pursuing her degree in medicine. Her interest in plastic surgery—particularly facial aesthetics—began to emerge as she focused her research and volunteer work on craniofacial reconstruction.
As a student, Dr. Sarhaddi explored her interest through international medical missions with Operation Smile. A research fellowship then led her to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she spent 2 years working in the Craniofacial Research Laboratory.
These early experiences guided her to a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
After medical school, Dr. Sarhaddi completed an integrated 6-year plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University. She then earned a prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship at Emory University, one of only a few programs endorsed by The Aesthetic Society. During this period, Dr. Sarhaddi trained with leading experts in cosmetic surgery and advanced nonsurgical techniques.
Dr. Sarhaddi employs a modern and meticulous approach to cosmetic face, breast, and body procedures.
Professional Activities
Dr. Sarhaddi is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of The Aesthetic Society. She has taken on multiple committee memberships through this society, including the Young Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Committee and serves as the Vice Chair of Communications for the Aesthetic Society.
In addition, Dr. Sarhaddi contributes to the world of academic plastic surgery through published textbook chapters and manuscripts. She is also a peer reviewer for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and a contributing editor in oculoplastic surgery for the journal’s Open Forum.
Dr. Sarhaddi further advances her field by training the next generation of plastic surgeons. She is an enthusiastic educator, working with senior plastic surgery residents at St. Louis University.
