The Nipple Areolar Complex(NAC) is removed as a graft. Reduction is done and the NAC is placed back in proper location. This could result in a loss of nipple sensitivity and nipple projection. Allows for a safer reduction for those with severely large breasts in terms of keeping NAC alive.
BREAST REDUCTION RECOVERY
No strenuous activities. You will have drains placed and have drain care for about a week. You can return to work after a weekend or long weekend.
After the first week, you can begin light exercising like walking on a treadmill. However, there is no running or heavy lifting.
After 5 weeks you can return to full activities.
