Types of Lip Lifts
Bull Horn Design Incision
This procedure involves a single approach to the incision line. The incision will appear in the design of a bull horn and be hidden in the crease below your nose.
What is Lip Lift Recovery like?
Immediately after:
There will be some swelling and a firm feeling to the upper lip due to the swelling. Pain is minimal and well-controlled with over-the-counter medications. The sutures are blue and in an incision hidden under the nose. The lip lift will look and feel overdone at this stage.
One week:
There is still mild to moderate swelling. The lip has not yet settled into its final contour and shape. All the sutures are removed within a week.
One to two months:
At one month, things are looking and feeling great, the patient is photo-ready! The scar will take a variable amount of time to fade but is easily covered with makeup and the best scar management is sunscreen. (and a silicone-based cream if concern for scar thickening at all).
