Motiva to Allergan Implants ✨
8 months after Breast Implant Revision
This patient came to me from an outside surgeon after having a Breast Augmentation with Motiva implants and GalaFLEX mesh from her previous surgery. She was very unhappy with the outcome. Her implants were too high, wouldn’t drop and her breast tissue was “falling off the implants”.
Her revision included:
• Removal of Motiva breast implants and Replacement with Natrelle INSPIRA Cohesive Gel implants — SCM 210cc
• Removal of the previously placed GalaFLEX mesh with partial capsulectomy to allow for the implants to drop properly.
• Anchor mastopexy (breast lift) to address the waterfall deformity and lift the breasts “onto” the implants.
At 8 months, the implants have settled into a more natural position on the chest, with improved breast shape and proportion.
Motiva Implants typically require placement of GalaFLEX mesh which adds complexity to the case, added risks for high riding implants with a waterfall deformity and infection.
I use GalaFLEX mesh when needed for a pocket repair or IMF repair but it’s not needed with Allergan Implants.
